Whoops!

Its been a very long time since I posted regularly on here. I'm gonna do my utmost to keep this thing current. I've posted some work below from 2011. Enjoy!

Rage video game cinematics

Some visual effects work I did while at ARC productions for the video game cinematics on RAGE.



Client : Arc Productions ( I was a contract employee at the time )
Goal : Visual effects work for Rage intro/outro video game cinematics
Tools used : Maya particles , Fluid effects, Rigid bodies , Binary alchemy volume shader
Notes:
INTRO - I worked on the opening shot (00:03) with the meteor with the sun in the distance and the shot with fragments striking the moonsurface (00:40)
OUTRO - I worked on the shot where the arcs breach the surface (00:33)

Portfolio Post!

Since I'm still working on my polished Demo-reel this blog post will serve as my temporary portfolio site. I have moved my 3D work up to the top for convenience

Goal : A promotional trade show video to attract People to their trade show booth and to show off the new Lamborghini they had on display there.
Result : A visual stunning animated piece that alludes to the fast growth of the company and emergence into the IT market place.

Client : Media-Robot Inc / Parkers of Burlington
Goal : A pre-visualization concept design for their lobby at one of their retail locations.
Result : A stylish entrance way that caters to the high end clientele in the area

Initial Design done in collaboration with other Media Robot employees.3ds max, Vray, Digital Fusion.




Client: Media-Robot Inc / The Herjavec Group.
Goal : A 6 foot x 6 foot poster to promote the sponsorship of an Indy event.
Result : A great piece that creates an association between the excitement of Indy racing and The Herjavec Group as well as promotes brand awareness at the level of other major corporations.

Tools and other notes : 3rd party F1 model. Minor modeling changes, textures, lighting, rendering done by me. 3ds max, Vray.

Client : Media-Robot Inc. / Toronto Community Housing
Goal : Pre-vis and Design work done for their 'Revitalization Campaign charged with gentrifying some of the worse off parts of Toronto.
Result : Realistic vision of various venues for the campaign. Part of larger project that also included branding and other 2D design work by other Media-Robot employees

Goal : Interesting flow charts that were in keeping with rest of companies branding and design.
Result : Stylized representation meant to spice Sales presentation/ Brochure.

Result : Dress form and wedding dress models created for fly around animations for a new website to explain aspects of the dress making process.

A NEW YEAR!

A quick color study in Lifedrawing class. I think it was 20 or 30 minutes.

Another color study. 20 minutes. Thankfully my Lifedrawing teacher lets me use my tabletPC in class ;)


Lastly, one more color study. The drawing kinda sucks, but I really like how my color selection turned out.


My first crack at Artrage 3, which everyone should go out and buy immediately...This one is a quickie while drawing at the ROM. I didn't get to finish it cause security made me unplug my laptop as it was a "fire hazard"...


A fun lifedrawing assignment I had last semester. We had to take 5 poses from an extra lifedrawing drawing session and draw any character in those same poses. I picked Akuma from Street Fighter.

An inclass life drawing exercise in shadow/light and contrast. The structure is off in a few places but I'm still pleased with how the values came out.
